CLIENT INFORMATION
Collaboration to reach your goal is an essential element of our work together. The client brings open communication and a desire for change. Counselling is a short-term process. It will help you to identify problems and resolve crises, and encourage you to take positive steps to resolve these issues. Psychotherapy is a longer-term process of treatment that identifies emotional issues and the background to problems and difficulties. It will help you understand your feelings, thoughts and actions more clearly.
LOCATION
Counselling for Change is located in Stoney Creek, Ontario. It is easily accessible by car or Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus with Stoney Creek Trans-Cab.
FEES & PAYMENT
Therapy services provided by Counselling for Change, under clinical supervision of a Registered Psychologist, will be covered by extended health care plans or workplace benefits, and are not covered by OHIP. Please check the details of your insurance coverage (e.g. the amount of annual coverage, the start/end date of your plan during the year and the type of professional that is covered).
Please call for information regarding rates for individual or couple counselling. Rates for workshops are determined per event.
Fees are payable at the time of each session using credit card (VISA, MasterCard), interact email money transfer, cheque or cash.
PRIVACY
All counselling sessions including discussion and note-taking are confidential. At the initial session we will discuss consent to services, protection of your personal information, permission to disclose information to another party, and in special circumstances, exceptions to confidentiality.
